Jimmy E. Mangrum 60, of Jonesboro died Wednesday, July 23, 2008, at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro.

Born in Marked Tree, he had lived in the Bay and Jonesboro area since 1984. He owned an appliance repair business, was a former lab technician and diesel mechanic and was a veteran of the Army National Guard and of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Sue Mangrum; his father, John Elvis Mangrum; and one sister, Betty Yewell.

Survivors include one daughter, Andrea Nicole Mangrum of Jonesboro; his mother, Cora Lee Mangrum of Jonesboro; eight brothers, Larry and Johnny Mangrum of Trumann, Lonnie, Charles, Danny and Ed Mangrum all of Jonesboro, Roland Mangrum of Alma and Richard Mangrum of Buckeye, Arizona; one sister, Jean Johnson of Portland, Ore,

Funeral services were Saturday, July 26 in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home with Richard Guy officiating. Burial followed in Nettleton Cemetery in Jonesboro.

Pallbearers included Scott Mangrum, Richard Mangrum, Mike Sullivan, Allen Mangrum, Travis Mangrum, and Jason McIntosh . Honorary pallbearers were the members of the Robinette Medical Clinic staff.
