Born at Bay, he had lived in Trumann for four years. He was the former director for the Arkansas Law Enforcement Training Academy in Camden, a veteran of the U.S. Army, retired deputy sheriff and former policeman for the Trumann Police Department, a 32nd degree Mason and past Grand Patron of the Order of the Eastern Star. He was the senior elder and member of First Christian Church in Trumann.
Mr. Reese was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Ruby Blunt Reese; one brother, Billy Reese; and one sister, Dortha Holmes.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Glenda Reese of the home; one son, David Reese of Ocala, Fla.; one daughter, Faith Reynolds of Trumann; one brother, Darrel Reese of Trumann, four grandchildren, Jody Costa, Brandon Williams, Ashley Williams and Tiffiany Adlon, and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Friday, July 25 in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home at Trumann with the Rev. Leonard Harp officiating. Burial followed in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers included Brandon Williams, Darrell Reynolds, Gary Baldwin, Gerry Darr, Dale Bibbs and LaRoy McCann.
