Larry E. Henderson recently announced that he will seek an eighth term on the Trumann City Council as alderman in Ward 2, Position One.

Henderson currently serves as chairman of the council's budget and finance committee as well as on the Trumann Police and Fire Committee.

"As a life-long resident of Trumann, I am excited about our future as a community," Henderson said. "While we continue to deal with challenges in our city, we are seeking solutions as a city council. We see the battle with drugs that has destroyed so many lives and want to make sure that drug dealers are no longer comfortable in the city of Trumann.

"We are seeking the citizen's approval of a new sales tax issue for improvements to our water and sewer system equipment and for much needed re-surfacing of some of our streets. This tax is needed to fund repairs and replacement of equipment needed in our water and sewer system."

Henderson says he is proud of city workers who strive to improve Trumann every day.

He and his wife, Neva, attend Maple Grove Baptist Church where they each teach a Sunday School class. Henderson also serves the church as a deacon. They are the proud grandparents of five grandchildren.

"I look forward to representing the citizens of Ward 2 if I am re-elected," Henderson concluded. "I want to see our community grow and prosper."
