"I think everybody played well," coach Matt Mink said. "It's just one of those deals where we came up a little bit short. They are a 5A school so it's a tougher team. But it is good competition and hopefully it will get us ready for the state tournament."
Mink said the girls played well against Wynne, but still have some work to do, mostly just getting used to playing with some new teammates.
"I had a couple of girls move in this year and a couple of girls who didn't play much last year, but are seeing a lot of playing time this year. It's just part of the girls really getting to know each other and learning how to work together."
Junior Kayli Wright went 18 for 19 serving with 14 digs.
Sarah Cooper had eight kills and four blocks, Lacy Staten posted eight kills and eight blocks, Daria Seay had 15 digs, Sarah Cooper had 10 kills and four blocks and Cecilia Moye had 13 digs.
"We did some good things that I really liked and a few things we still have to work on," Mink concluded. "We're trying new things out and really seeing what works well with each other."
The loss dropped the Ladycats to 1-2 on the season.
