The Lady Wildcats squad went 7-1 in pool play, knocking off Harrisburg in the semi-finals match before falling to West Memphis.
Lacy Staten, Haley Brewer and Morgan McKenzie were named to the All-Tournament team. Staten finished the day with 16 aces, 22 kills and 12 blocks, while Brewer had 9 aces, 36 digs, 46 kills and 10 blocks. McKenzie contributed 47 assists.
Head coach Matt Mink said the senior girls played well and are starting to work better as a team.
"We're coming along," Mink said. "In pool play they came out against Harrisburg and got a little revenge for an earlier loss this season and beat them in three. They played really well throughout the day."
Mink said the team got a little tired toward the end though against West Memphis.
"We came out a little flat," Mink said. "By the time we got to West Memphis we were a little wore out. We had played more games and it was just one of those deals where we just didn't have an answer. But we are really starting to play a little better. That's the most important thing."
In other action, Trumann lost in four sets to Green County Tech on Sept.15 and also fell to CRA in an away game on Sept. 11 25-20, 25-14 and 24-14. Bailye Ballard had 24 digs and haley Brewer had 20 digs and eight blocks.
Trumann won the junior high match. Hailey Winingham was 22 for 22 serving with five aces and 11 assists. CRA won the senior "B" game 25-21.
